It is the early 1930's, in Belgravia, London, in the home of a family down on their fortune. These aristocrats think that the answer to their prayers is the arrival of a noveau riche hotel-owning family from Brisbane. The family - mother, daughter, and uncle - have arrived to launch the daughter into society and enlist the help of the two fine ladies, their son, and high-born friends. The contrast of the stylish Londoners to the down to earth colonials makes for great comedy - and romance.
