It’s Brisbane in wartime, a young singer from North Queensland,
 is drawn to the night club scene to follow her dreams.

Suddenly the sleepy country town is full of life and excitement -
bursting with Australian and American soldiers
 on the edge of the war in the Pacific.

But the first battle would be with... the Yanks !
