Daylight Saving is set in the 1980s in Sydney; most of the action takes place on “the night the clocks go back” - the end of daylight saving time.
The marriage of Felicity, a successful chef/restauranteur and Tom, a successful professional sport manager, seems to be in a difficult place. When lonely Felicity responds to an out-of-the-blue overture from her first love, the American Josh, an evening of interruptions from her vivacious mother Bunty, self- centred neighbour Stephanie, and Tom’s needy young tennis star Jason interfere in Felicity’s life.
This is a modern comedy that explores relationships and life issues.
There are also opportunities available for costume and set design if you would like to try your hand at that or become involved in the process.
