The timeless tale, in which young Dorothy Gale travels from Kansas, over the rainbow to the magical Land of Oz. We will be working with the RSC version, which is most faithful to the movie, although adapted for stage. As such, the characters of Glinda, Scarecrow, Tinman, Lion, Wizard and Emerald City Guard have counterparts in Kansas. There are also many more speaking/singing parts for the chorus in this version.

Please not the role of Dorothy Gale is already cast.

Glinda/Aunty Em Female, Playing age: 40-50s - Must sustain high soprano


Scarecrow/Hunk, Male, Playing age: 20-40s - Tenor


Tinman/Hickory, Male. Playing age: 20-40s- Tenor


Lion/Zeke. Male, Playing age: 20-40s - Tenor


Wizard/Travelling salesman, Male. Playing age: 20-40s - Non-singing role


Emerald City Guard/Uncle Henry, Male, Playing age: 40-50s - Tenor


Wicked Witch/Miss Gultch, Female, Playing age: any - Non-singing role


Chorus:

The Chorus will be made up of 14 adults and 20 children (10 per show, double cast)

Adults: we are looking for dancers with any combination of the following dance styles: Ballet, Soft shoe, Tap, Jazz.  The Chorus will also be required to sing and act at various times, so these skills would be an advantage.

Children: the children will be playing munchkins, poppies and monkeys and all will be required to sing and do basic movement.

An iconic comedy from one of the greatest British wits, Noël Coward, often considered his best.
The novelist Charles Condomine, invites a medium, Madame Arcati, to a dinner party, who accidentally brings back the ghost of his deceased wife, Elvira.
Charles can see Elvira, but she is invisible to everyone else, including his current wife, Ruth. Elvira’s arrival causes chaos, as both women fight for his love and attention.
