About the author

Dame Agatha Christie was an English author known for her 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections, particularly those revolving around fictional detectives Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple. She is widely regarded as one of the greatest writers, particularly in the mystery genre.  Christie has been dubbed the "Queen of Crime".

She wrote the world's longest-running play, The Mousetrap, which has been performed in the West End of London since 1952. She is the best-selling fiction writer of all time; her novels having sold more than two billion copies.

Her novels, stories and plays are still being adapted to film, television and the stage.

About the playwright

Leslie Darbon is a dramatist who has adapted two Agatha Christie novels for the stage.

Her first adaptation (based on the novel A Murder is Announced) opened in 1977, and in 1981 her version of Cards on the Table premiered.

She is also the writer for three television series, Department S (1969), Bergerac (1981) and Moon and Son (1992).

About the play

A mysterious newspaper notice declares a murder will happen at Little Paddocks that evening.
When the curious villagers gather, a gunshot shatters the scene!

With secrets and lies everywhere, Miss Marple must uncover the truth.
How many more must die and who will be next !
