Born and raised in Melbourne, Alison spent many years in London where her love of theatre took hold. She performed across a wide range of genres including drama, comedy, musicals and pantomime. After returning to Melbourne, Alison continued her theatrical journey, appearing in numerous plays, with her favourite role being Mother Superior in Agnes of God.

After moving to Brisbane, Alison reignited her passion for acting in 2019 with Villanova Players, taking on the lead role of Maggie in Falling from Grace, directed by Elizabeth Morris. She later played another leading female role—also named Maggie—in Jake’s Women with St Luke’s Theatre Society in 2024.

A milliner by trade, Alison also enjoys contributing behind the scenes, particularly with costuming. She has recently worked on headwear for The Great Gatsby and My Fair Lady, in which she also performed.

With a fondness for comedic roles, Alison particularly enjoyed playing the man-obsessed neighbour Stephanie in Daylight Savings with Villanova Players. However, the thrill of playing the Vicar under the direction of Elizabeth Morris once again is sure to surpass them all. Working with this cast has been a joy, and Alison hopes you enjoy the production as much as she has.

Hannah has always had a flair for the dramatic, as her exhausted family can testify.

She has trod the Villanova boards numerous times with her most recent appearance being
Susie Bones in Puffs in 2024. She has also appeared in a range of productions including A Streetcar Named Desire (Spotlight theatre), Shakespeare in Love (Beenleigh theatre group), Jakes Women (St Luke’s theatre), The School for Scandal (Villanova players) and The Importance of Being Earnest (St Luke’s theatre). She also co-directed an original musical last year, Antidote, at Phoenix theatre.

This has been such a joy of a show to be a part of and Hannah would like to thank all involved, especially Liz, for allowing her to bring Alice-cactus-woman-Tinker to the stage.

Robert Gettons is thrilled to be back on the Villanova Players’ stage once again, proving that he simply can’t stay away. Having acted for many years, Robert was most recently seen as Father in St Luke’s Theatre Society’s Little Women, as well as in VPs productions of Picnic at Hanging Rock and Emma, where he very sensibly played Mr Knightley. He is delighted to now don the suit (and ego) of David Horton in The Vicar of Dibley — and hopes you enjoy it as much as he does.

Steven has been doing community theatre for about 10 years, acting in shows such as The Great Gatsby, A Murder is Announced, and also Holmes and Watson with Centenary Theatre. He was also in musicals such as My Fair Lady, High Society, Beauty and the Beast, and the upcoming Jesus Christ Superstar with Redcliffe Musical Theatre. 

It has been really fun bringing this hilarious show to stage with great group of people, and he hopes you enjoy watching it!

Martin is a big fan of comedy appearing in all of the Ray Cooney farces. On a more serious note, Martin played Einstein in Arsenic and Old Lace (STC) and the Police Inspector in Holmes & Watson (CTC).

Martin says there is absolutely no no no excuse for you not to enjoy The Vicar of Dibley and he will not take no no no for an answer.

Martin's favourite Dibley character is "Gerry, Geraldine, no no no Jim Trott"!

Peter has popped up again like a bad penny every couple of years since his first appearance at VPs in 2004 as a supporting actor for his dog in As You Like It. Peter last appeared at VPs in Daylight Saving [2023] and prior to that in The Venetian Twins ; The School for Scandal (2022); Summer Rain (2021), Picnic at Hanging Rock (2019); High Society (2018); and Much Ado About Nothing (2017).

If asked to describe myself, I would reply that I was a person of little talent but of enormous curiosity. My main interests in life are Natural Philosophy, the Visual and Performing Arts, and Travel and I have pursued these with passion.

Oscar Wilde said that if you know what you want to be, then you inevitably become it - that is your punishment, but if you never know, then you can be anything.

So, what am I at the moment? Well, I am a ham actor playing Frank Pickle so, I guess I am Pickled Pork.

Hmm, I am a late returner to the community theatre party after doing some queer productions 20 something years ago. Theatre is something I have always loved and am so happy to be back in my element again. Previous productions include Little Women (St Lukes), The Odd Couple female version (Nash), A Murder is Announced (Villanova) and now The Vicar of Dibley. I have been waiting all my life for the opportunity to legitimately wear a tea cosy on my head, so, bucket list item ticked. I may even continue to do so at play end.

My favourite Dibley character is of course Mrs Cropley.

Loretta has been working in theatre, both backstage and onstage, in New Zealand, overseas and Brisbane for several years.  She has also studied acting and drama in these places. She has performed in a wide variety of plays and musicals and has been a Stage Manager, ASM or Props Coordinator, Assistant Director and Director. In 2024 Loretta debuted for Villanova in My Fair Lady as Mrs Hopkins and in the Chorus.
